The Roots to headline MOG's third annual SXSW showcase.

MOG Inc., a next generation music media company and owner of The MOG Music Network (MMN), the premier destination for music content online and largest music focused advertising network, today announced the line-up for its Intel sponsored event during the South by Southwest (SXSW) Music Festival in Austin, TX, on Saturday, March 17. The Roots performance at MOG's event will be their only performance during the SXSW Music Festival. Along side The Roots, partygoers will enjoy music from legendary musician, Bob Mould whose performance at MOG at The Mohawk will be one of two appearances during SXSW. Fans will enjoy a SXSW exclusive performance of his most popular album, Sugar's 1992 college radio staple, Copper Blue.

Other notable acts include the following:

The Roots
Bob Mould
Blitzen Trapper
The War on Drugs
Gary Clark Jr.
Cloud Nothings

The Silent Comedy

MOG at the Mohawk, presented by Intel, will be a free, all-ages event, taking place on Saturday, March 17 from noon to 6pm in downtown Austin at The Mohawk located at 912 Red River Street (at East 10th). For additional information about MOG at the Mohawk, visit http://bit.ly/zRGcy0.

As the premiere sponsor of the acclaimed MOG at the Mohawk, Intel will provide live streaming coverage of the event on MOG.com, available to all FreePlay users. This inaugural live streaming of MOG at the Mohawk, sponsored by Intel, allows music lovers everywhere to enjoy performances (and much more) from the comfort of their living rooms. Content will also be streamed through rich media ad units that are syndicated across thousands of sites within the MOG Music Network (MMN) including OkayPlayer and others. Fans watching the live streaming coverage will have the opportunity to view exclusive pre-show coverage, video montages of event bands performing the Intel sound mark, along with interviews and other engaging content. All content will also be accessible following the showcase. In addition to the live performances, the rich media ad units will also feature a highlight reel containing footage captured by attendees at the event using their smart phones and personal handheld cameras.

Intel will also serve as the first ever sponsor of MOG's FreePlay gas tank. Free listeners on MOG receive a virtual "gas tank" full of music visibly integrated into the service. The refillable tank, called FreePlay, is built upon sophisticated game mechanics that enable users to earn free music in perpetuity, simply by listening, creating playlists, sharing with friends and exploring MOG. FreePlay users who engage with MOG will be rewarded with additional free music, thanks to Intel. The FreePlay tank showcases how much free music a user has along with "earn music" and "upgrade" links that provide listeners the opportunity to earn more music, or upgrade to MOG Primo, a subscription plan that includes unlimited, ad-free music, and access to MOG via mobile devices, consumer electronic and streaming entertainment devices, and the car.
