Tallahassee rock band GO RADIO are set to hit the road for a two month long U.S. headlining tour with This Providence in support of their debut album, Lucky Street. The band will kick things off this week with three intimate performances at SXSW in Austin, TX.
Formed in 2007 by beloved vocalist/guitarist Jason Lancaster, GO RADIO, which also consists of Alex Reed (guitar), Matt “Burns” Poulos (bass) and Steven Kopacz (drums), has quickly become one of rock’s most promising bands with two EPs (2008’s Welcome to Life and 2010’s Do Overs and Second Chances) and their Fearless Records debut full-length album Lucky Street under their belts.
GO RADIO’s mounting success can be attributed to the band’s incredible knack for crafting unflinchingly honest, breathtakingly beautiful music that boasts incredible raw vocal talent and unequivocal songwriting prowess as heard on tracks like “Any Other Heart,” and “Goodnight Moon.”
Lucky Street was named “one of the best rock records of 2011” by Absolutepunk.net, and debuted on Billboard’s Top 200 as well as the Independent, Rock and Alternative charts. With the incredible reaction to their debut, anticipation for their follow-up is at an all-time high.
In early 2012, GO RADIO wrapped up recording in St. Cloud, FL with James Paul Wisner (Dashboard Confessional, Paramore, New Found Glory) for their new full-length album, which is due out later this year.
