Dropkick Murphys reveal title for upcoming album.
Boston-based band Dropkick Murphys are excited to announce the title of their forthcoming album, SIGNED and SEALED in BLOOD, to be released in early 2013. The album is their second with producer Ted Hutt (Gaslight Anthem, Old Crow Medicine Show), which was recorded at Boston's Q Division studios and mixed by Joe Chiccarelli (The White Stripes). "We had such a great time writing our last album, Going Out In Style, we were excited to get back into the studio right away," says bassist and co-lead singer Ken Casey. "Where Going Out in Style was a concept album-kind of intricate and difficult-this one is catchy, fun, and as sing-along as can be." The album's title SIGNED and SEALED in BLOOD is a reference to a lyric in the new song "Rose Tattoo," which the band road-tested on its European festival tour this summer. "Rose Tattoo" and its imagery has given the band an idea that will hopefully include their fans' many contributions. The band, through their website, are asking their most loyal fans who feel equally inspired by the lyrics of the song to get a tattoo with the new Dropkick Murphys logo from the SIGNED and SEALED in BLOOD album cover, including the band's name and/or the album title or song lyrics. During the process they would like fans to take photos and shoot videos, then submit it all through the band's website before the September 19 deadline. These photos will be used in the CD and vinyl artwork, as well as in the upcoming "Rose Tattoo" music video that will come out this fall. For full information on this fan project, check out the band's website here: http://dropkickmurphys.com/signedandsealed
The band's fans around the world have already responded overwhelmingly to the announcement of the Fan Tattoo project, with a large number of fans already vowing on the band's facebook to make this their first, second, or even third Dropkick Murphys tattoo.
Dropkick Murphys are currently preparing to kick off their fall tour, beginning with a week of performances in September dubbed the "Halfway to St. Patrick's Day Tour", highlighted by a September 21 hometown performance at Boston's Bank Of America Pavilion waterfront amphitheatre. The band will return to the states at the end of October for a number of dates along the West Coast and the Mountain States, including two shows in Canada. For a full itinerary and tour dates, please see below.

Christina Perri gives the gift of music.
Atlantic recording artist Christina Perri has announced details of her upcoming holiday EP. "A VERY MERRY PERRI CHRISTMAS" arrives everywhere on October 16th.
"A VERY MERRY PERRI CHRISTMAS" pairs an all-new seasonal staple, "Something About December," alongside unique renditions of such Yuletide favorites as The Carpenters' "Merry Christmas Darling" and Charles Brown's "Please Come Home For Christmas." Produced by multiple Grammy Award winner David Hodges (Evanescence, Kelly Clarkson), the 6-track collection is further highlighted by a magical new take on the John & Yoko/Plastic Ono Band classic, "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)," featuring choral contributions from such diverse artists as Michelle Branch, LP, Bushwalla, and Boys Like Girls' Martin Johnson (see tracklisting below). Beginning September 25th, an exclusive bundle of "A VERY MERRY PERRI CHRISTMAS" will be available at www.christinaperri.com
"I've wanted to make 'A VERY MERRY PERRI CHRISTMAS' my whole life," says Perri. "Christmas is so big in my family, and I've been singing these songs since I was three years old. This EP is a collection of my all-time favorite Christmas songs, plus one original, 'Something About December' which my brother and I wrote about finding Christmas wherever you are in the world, because it lives in your heart."
Perri is currently traveling North America as special guest on her good friend (and Atlantic labelmate) Jason Mraz's epic "TOUR IS A FOUR LETTER WORD." The dates -- which include an eagerly awaited two-night-stand at Denver's world famous Red Rocks Amphitheater and Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl -- continues through early October (see itinerary below).
The tour follows Perri's recent collaboration with the Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter on the acclaimed hit single, "Distance (Feat. Jason Mraz)." The duo has teamed up for a number of performances of the song, including a recent rendition on NBC's TODAY Show Summer Concert series which aired August 31st and this very special acoustic performance filmed backstage at Dallas' Gexa Energy Pavilion which is streaming exclusively via Glamour.com (www.glamour.com/entertainment/blogs/obsessed/2012/08/omg-christina-perri-and-jason.html). In addition, the official "Distance" companion video -- directed by Elliot Sellers (Jason Mraz, Good Old War, Knife Party) -- has already drawn more than 1.5 million individual views at Perri's official YouTube channel, located at www.youtube.com/user/lovemspenny.
Named as iTunes' "Breakthrough Pop Artist of 2011," Christina Perri attracted immediate popular and critical applause with her extraordinary debut album, "lovestrong." Highlighted by the 3x-platinum certified smash, "Jar of Hearts," the Joe Chiccarelli-produced album entered the SoundScan/Billboard 200 among the top 5 upon its release last year. "lovestrong." has also proven an unqualified international sensation, with top 5 success in Australia and Ireland as well as top 10 sales in Canada and the United Kingdom.
Perri followed "lovestrong." with the RIAA platinum certified hit single, "A Thousand Years," exclusively featured on Summit Entertainment/Chop Shop/Atlantic's "THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN - PART 1 - ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK." The track was a multi-format radio favorite, with top 10 airplay at Hot AC and top 25 spins at CHR/Top 40 outlets nationwide. What's more, the "A Thousand Years" companion video was an MTV favorite, earning major play on such platforms as MTV's AMTV, MTV Hits, MTV.com, mtvU, VH1.com, and VH1's Top 20 Video Countdown.

Machine Head set for fall 2012 tour.
Machine Head will spend the next few months on the road, doing what they do best and that's lay waste to stages across the U.S., reducing them to piles of rubble and ash.
In advance of the tour, in mid-September, “Darkness Within,” one of band’s most powerful offerings, will ship to Rock radio. The video for the track can be viewed HERE.
The Bay Area metal titans will embark on what is sure to be one of the "must see" tours of the fall season with Dethklok, All That Remains and Black Dahlia Murder. That lineup translates into one helluva night for metalheads.
The trek kicks off on October 24th with a “warm up show” in Louisville, Kentucky, 2 massive radio festivals in Orlando and Tampa Florida, and then begins with Dethklok on Oct 30th at The Norva in Norfolk, Virginia and will hit 33 cities before wrapping on December 8th in Atlanta, Georgia.
This tour will also be offering a limited number of Machine Head VIP Meet and Greet packages, look for updates and links coming later this week.
Machine Head will be further supporting their 2011-released masterwork Unto the Locust, which was dubbed "a landmark for Machine Head, a landmark for heavy metal" by ARTISTdirect and which was said to be an album that is so good, it "rewards revisiting" by Decibel. The record was also heralded as one of the best of the past year by Loudwire, capping off near-universal praise for another instant classic in the Machine Head catalog. Jon Wiederhorn of Revolver proclaims “in terms of quality and significance, Unto the Locust may well be this decade's Master of Puppets.”

Parkway Drive announce new album "Atlas"
Australian metal masters, Parkway Drive are poised for world domination as one of the most significant purveyors of heavy music on Earth with their enthralling fourth album, Atlas, which is ready for release via Epitaph Records on October 30th along with a deluxe package that includes the “Home Is For The Heartless" DVD, a unique travelogue that follows the band’s adventures touring to many obscure destinations including Colombia, China and India. The announcement comes as the band unleashes a brand new video for the debut track “Dark Days” which can be found by going here: http://youtu.be/_7lpftvYDMA
Yet another creative leap forward for the chart-topping Australian band, Atlas boasts some of the most up front and confrontational material Parkway Drive has ever released, while at the same time taking several unexpected turns into lush sonic terrain, redefining their trademark sound while reinforcing their position as leaders in their field.
Recorded in Los Angeles with esteemed producer Matt Hyde (Slayer, Hatebreed, etc.), the soon-to-be-released Atlas sets the standard in musical progression by pushing musical boundaries and drawing from a wider scope of influence. From heavy, technically advanced riffs and rapid fire blast beats, to haunting death growls combined with fervent vocals and symphonic melodies, Atlas’s ferocious mix of metal and hardcore reaches new horizons with songs such as “Dark Days,” “Old Ghost / New Regrets” and “The River,” all of which will have fans careening straight for the circle pit.
“Everything has been enhanced,” says PARKWAY vocalist Winston McCall. “People don’t have to kiss the old parts goodbye. When you think of change, you think of things being taken away, but there’s not a case here where anything has been taken away. This is just more on top.”
The new record is positioned to be the most highly anticipated heavy album of the year and follows 2010’s phenomenally successful Deep Blue, which debuted #39 in the US on the Billboard 200, #2 in Australia, as well as reaching solid Gold and winning the ARIA Award for Best Hard Rock and Metal Album and has since built steadfast momentum as a result of a groundswell of fan support in the US. Building on a record that was regarded as “not just a landmark album for themselves, [but] a milestone album for modern metal, ( Metal Hammer),” Atlas cements Parkway Drive as the world’s most hardcore musical superpower.
"Atlas is a culmination of ten years," says McCall. "Ten years of Parkway Drive, ten years of travel, ten years of being alive and watching our world spiral out of control. We're not holding anything back, we're not pulling any punches, and this world deserves nothing less."
"The Home is for the Heartless" DVD has already reached platinum status in Australia and is only available in the US via the deluxe package. According to McCall, the DVD gives an additional insight into the album’s lyrical themes, which are closely related to exploration and discovery.
“Reading the lyrics to Atlas after watching the DVD... I think you will have more of a sense of where we are coming from,” McCall reveals. “The album is called Atlas because it’s a combination of the travelling we’ve done over the past year, while also playing on the idea of Atlas, who carried the weight of the world on his shoulders.”
When asked if he feels as though he and the band are anything like the mythological Greek titan, bearing the weight of the world on their shoulders, McCall replies: “I think everybody feels that way at one time or another. It’s a heavy place to live, and it’s a heavy time to be alive. Some people watch the DVD and go, ‘Man, it makes me jealous of your life.’ But I think with every expanse of your horizon, you go into another bubble of society where you are able to see that others in the world aren't doing so good. It’s one of those things...the more your horizon expands, the more negative things you see. For that reason there is a lot of stuff on this record that is more confrontational than anything we’ve written in the past.”
Fans are invited to pre-order Atlas, along with the "Home Is For The Heartless" DVD deluxe package to experience an exciting new chapter in the story of Australia’s most successful metalcore band by going here: kingsroadmerch.com/parkwaydrive/region
