Florence and the Machine to release new album on Nov 1st.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- ”Ceremonials” the new album by Florence + The Machine produced by Paul Epworth (Adele) is scheduled to be released on November 1st, it was announced today by her record label Universal Republic. The lead single 'Shake It Out' which received a four star (****) review in Rolling Stone and was referred to as “the hottest record in the world” by BBC Radio 1 is currently available on iTunes along with the fan track "What The Water Gave Me.” Rolling Stone Magazine which gave the album a (****) lead review said “The rock band most forcefully evoked on Ceremonials is one of the biggest of all time: U2. Like them, Florence and the Machine are a true band, who channel garage rock camaraderie into a huge, lashing sound more fit for an Olympian mountain peak than a garage. And like U2, Florence and the Machine are fronted by a singer with the pipes, and the shamelessness, to pull off the melodrama to turn the ridiculous into the sublime.”

"This album continues those eternal themes of the first album love, death, sex and violence. I'm constantly battling between two sides of myself, the safe, grown up and responsible me and the freedom of getting away from all that…As a singer, you're always looking for that moment of transcendence being able to leave your body behind,” commented Florence on the new record. "It's about dealing with the choices you've made and the life you want to lead. It's a lot about guilt some of it is quite earnest and confessional. However, I think anything reverential in my songs is usually about having a hangover. There is definitely a kind of tragic heroine theme," she concluded. Florence Welch burst on to the music scene with her debut album "Lungs" in 2009. Epworth previously produced "Cosmic Love" on that album which inspired Welch to have him produce "Ceremonials" in its entirety. "With the first record I feel like I hit upon an idea half way through and with this album I've been able to refine all those mixed up influences and ideas and make them whole…I wanted it to feel like a body of work done at one time, in one place, with one producer and I'm really glad I got to do that," stated Welch.

"Ceremonials" will be available as the primary 12 track album and there will also be a deluxe 20-track double album which will include three new songs along with previously unheard demos and acoustic versions of “Heartlines,” “Shake It Out” and “Breaking Down.” A complete listing of tracks on both albums follows this release.

Florence + The Machine is scheduled to make several high profile TV appearances including Saturday Night Live on November 19th and Good Morning America on November 21st. They will also be profiled on CBS Sunday Morning which will air in November, and VH1 Divas on December 19th.

Nominated for a Grammy for Best New Artist and an MTV Video of the Year Award along with unforgettable performances on last year's MTV Music Awards as well as the Grammy and Academy Awards, Florence + The Machine's debut album was No. 1 and sold over 3 million copies in the UK and received the British Critic's Choice Award. As a live touring act, Florence has received unanimous raves. Noted Jon Pareles of the NY Times when he reviewed her Bowery Ballroom show, "There's also far more to her voice: bluesy curves, rock belting, Celtic melancholy and banshee quavers, pouring on emotion as the songs metamorphosed. She pushes herself toward the primal without sacrificing control." Florence has also appeared on virtually every major music festival around the world including Coachella and Glastonbury's Other Stage which drew the biggest crowd in the festival's 40 year history. Florence + The Machine is scheduled to perform at several upcoming radio shows including Chicago on December 4th and Kansas City on December 5th.

Paul Stanley undergoes vocal cord surgery.

CNN --- Rock legend Paul Stanley, the iconic voice and driving force behind KISS, one of the most successful and influential bands ever born on American soil, yesterday underwent surgery to address some recurring vocal cord issues. According to doctors, the procedure was a success, Paul’s recovery will be swift and complete, and one of rock’s greatest showmen of all time will yet again preach his rock ‘n’ roll gospel to millions in 2012.

“I hold myself to a higher standard than others do,” Stanley said. “With that in mind, I wanted to remedy a few minor issues that come with forty years of preaching rock ‘n’ roll.”

Stanley’s activities show no sign of slowing down as sales of his highly-acclaimed artwork continue to climb into the multiple seven-figure range, his being named Ambassador Spokesperson for the world-renowned House Research Institute, and Stanley’s overseeing of the ever-expanding KISS empire and worldwide brand with more than 3,000 highly-successful licensees.

2012 is shaping up to be quite a year for the legendary KISS frontman with Stanley once again at the helm producing Monster, KISS’ forthcoming, highly-anticipated follow-up album to the critically acclaimed Paul Stanley-produced Sonic Boom that debuted at number one on the Billboard Hard Rock Chart. Monster will be the band’s twentieth studio album. In 2012, KISS will also embark on its biggest and most ambitious worldwide tour ever, spanning multiple countries and continents, in support of Monster.

Angels and Airwaves announce " LOVE" Part Two.

Last year, Angels & Airwaves (AVA) gave away nearly one million downloads of their album LOVE Part One. This summer, more than 460 U.S. movie theaters broadcast the one-night-only Angels & Airwaves Presents LOVE Live event. Now, AVA is poised to release LOVE Part Two (To The Stars Records), just as the band welcomes new member Ilan Rubin into the fold.

On Monday, October 31st, LOVE Part Two’s second single, “Surrender,” will be world premiered on KROQ/LA’s “Kevin & Bean” show and will also be made available as iTunes’ free “Single of the Week.” Additionally, iTunes will exclusively offer the full LOVE Part Two album for one week beginning November 1. Concurrently on iTunes, fans will also be able to purchase last year’s LOVE Part One album, as well as the thought-provoking movie LOVE that Variety praised as “an impressive show of imagination and design.” LOVE Part One, Part Two and LOVE (the movie) will be available at retail outlets on November 8th through Rocket Science/RED, while AVAshop.com will unveil three special packages.

23-year-old drummer/keyboardist Ilan Rubin was most recently the tour drummer for Nine Inch Nails and has also toured and recorded with Lostprophets. Additionally, Rubin is proficient on guitar, bass and piano, and has released two albums under the moniker The New Regime, on which he wrote all the material and played all the instruments.

On November 8th, AVA will make LOVE Part Two available in a variety of packages: a standard version that contains both LOVE Part One and LOVE Part Two albums; and a deluxe version with both LOVE albums plus the 85-minute LOVE movie on DVD. AVAshop.com will offer a “black edition” that upgrades the deluxe version with a 128-page comic book based on the movie; a “gold edition” which also adds a limited-edition t-shirt; and a “platinum edition” (limited to 25) that contains a signed, customized Epiphone guitar similar to the one frontman Tom DeLonge uses.

AVA includes vocalist/guitarist DeLonge, guitarist David Kennedy, bassist/keyboardist Matt Wachter and Rubin. The band has released three studio albums: 2006’s gold-certified We Don’t Need to Whisper; 2007’s I-Empire, which rocketed into the Top 10 of Billboard’s Top 200; and 2010’s LOVE. To date, AVA has sold more than two million albums worldwide.

Yellowcard announce acoustic album.

2011 has been a banner year for Hopeless recording artists YELLOWCARD. Not only did they release their latest album WHEN YOU'RE THROUGH THINKING, SAY YES to critical acclaim and to the wide-open arms of fans both new and old, but they also released their back catalogue on vinyl and toured the world, seeing countries and fans they've never seen in-person before.

As a perfect cap to end the year and as a major "thank you" to their fans, they're re-releasing their WYTTSY - this time in acoustic form. It's a testament to the band's songwriting prowess that the unplugged version of this album takes the music to a whole new level while keeping the main spirit and soul of the songs intact. It will be released digitally via iTunes and Amazon.com on Monday, October 24, 2011, while the physical release date will be November 1, 2011 and exclusively available only at indie retailers.

To help herald its release, AbsolutePunk.net will begin streaming the album in its entirety beginning tonight prior to its release here: http://www.absolutepunk.net/artists/showlink.php?do=showdetails&l=1533. In addition, MTV Networks will be debuting the video for "Sing For Me" (electric version from the original album) on Tuesday, October 25th on MTV, MTV2, mtvU and MTV.com.

The band issued the following statement regarding the release of the acoustic album:

Over the course of our career, Yellowcard has always taken pride and enjoyment in performing our songs in an acoustic setting whenever possible. Last year when we finished recording When You're Through Thinking, Say Yes, we decided to record a few of the songs to be used as b-sides here and there. Shortly after the release we noticed the incredible response that the acoustic version of "Sing For Me" was getting online. We thought, "What if we recorded all the songs this way and tried to get Hopeless Records to release it as an acoustic version of the entire record?" Lucky for us, they seemed to think that was a great idea.

We began using every free day or night we had in early 2011 to finish recording all ten songs acoustically. One of the things we are most proud of is that we produced and mixed this entire record on our own. (Much credit is due to Ryan Mendez for his sleepless nights behind the computer.) This is something the band has wanted to do for a very long time and we have been so looking forward to surprising all of our fans with this record. It is the least we can do for the amazing support they have given us as we try to rebuild this career that we love so much.

So here it is, When You're Through Thinking, Say Yes (Acoustic). It has been a hard secret to keep these last few months but we are confident that our fans will keep this album close to their hearts. It is both a huge accomplishment for us as a band and a massive thank you to all of the people who continue to stand behind this band. We hope you love it.

- Ryan, Sean, Longineu, Ryan, and Sean

Yellowcard's seventh studio album When You're Through Thinking, Say Yes was released in March on Hopeless Records to unanimous acclaim and high chart positions worldwide, including #9 Alternative in Canada, #6 Alternative in Australia, #1 Indie Album Breakers in the UK and #19 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums in the U.S. The band is currently in the midst of their U.S. tour (dates below).

Chris Cornell has been heralded as one of the pioneers of the grunge era for writing a string of hits for Soundgarden, including the Grammy award-winning “Black Hole Sun” and “Spoonman.” In 1991, Chris formed Temple of the Dog, writing the classic song “Hunger Strike” featuring a duet with Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder. In 2000, Cornell joined former Rage Against the Machine members (Tom Morello, Tim Commerford, and Brad Wilk) in Audioslave and wrote a series of the band’s hits including “Like a Stone,” “Be Yourself” and “Doesn’t Remind Me.” Cornell’s career as a songwriter for film has included such songs as “Can’t Change Me,” and “Mission”, from the soundtrack to Mission Impossible II as well as hit theme song “You Know My Name” for James Bond thriller Casino Royale, one of the most successful installments of the spy franchise to date. Four Year Strong release new album. Ready to headline AP Tour.

Universal Republic / Decaydance Records rock band Four Year Strong, consisting of Dan O’Connor (vocals, guitars), Alan Day (vocals, guitars), Joe Weiss (bass) and Jake Massucco (drums), is set to release their fourth album In Some Way, Shape, Or Form. in the US on November 8th. The band, who currently graces the cover of Alternative Press, will be headlining the magazine’s annual fall trek, The AP Tour, which kicks off October 13th in Allentown, PA with support acts Gallows, Title Fight, The Swellers and Sharks rounding out the lineup.

In Some Way, Shape, or Form. was produced by David Bendeth (Paramore, Papa Roach), who guided Four Year Strong towards its hardest, most mature and experimental sound to date. The album explodes with an incendiary confluence of rock, hardcore and punk influences.

The album’s first single, "Just Drive," is the most added at Modern Rock Radio and debuted on Revolver Magazine’s online portal. O’Connor explains, “’Just Drive’ is about being on the brink of disaster, and just saying “fuck it” and living your life like there’s no tomorrow.” The pummeling, yet melodic track echoes that sentiment, firing off an unforgettable chorus – now available via iTunes and all digital retailers.

Day says, "The AP Tour is something Four Year Strong has always wanted to do. The tour is real music for real people, and we are proud to be a part of it with such awesome bands." O’Connor adds, “We are stoked to be headlining The AP Tour. Alternative Press has always identified and supported bands who have real passion for music, so it means a lot to us to be a part of the tour.” As a thank you to their fans, Four Year Strong is running a contest where winners get to experience a very special intimate acoustic performance at each AP Tour stop.

FOUR YEAR STRONG is set for rock domination, and they'll get there immediately IN SOME WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM.
